Whoever invented brunch was a bloody genius because it is hands down the best meal of the day.
I always get asked where the best places are to have brunch and although I’ve not ventured out that much here are some of my favourite places in Manchester so far.
BTW I wouldn’t say I’m a foodie by any means but I thought I’d post this for those who have reached out to me. I judge eateries based solely on their poached eggs and Instagrammable interior. After ll, if you can’t take a good picture of it you haven’t eaten it have you?
If any of you are from MCR and know any brunch spots that I’m missing out on feel free to slide into my DM’s or leave a comment below as I’d love to hear from you.
Evelyn’s Cafe Bar: (G18 Tib St, Manchester M4)
What I ordered: Avacado, poached egg, sourdough and a beetroot latte.
The crunchy and thick slice of sour dough against mushy avocado, soft poached eggs and fresh tomatoes worked so well together. I think everything I’ve tried here so far has been fresh, delicate and very well balanced.
Here, its not only the food that’s a feast for the eyes its the decor too. I loved the foliage theme with the copper accents – kitchen inspo for sure!

Fress: 62 Oldham St, Manchester M4 1LE
What I ordered: A full vegetarian breakfast made up of fried eggs, toast, vegetarian sausages, hash browns, beans and tomato.
Everything was seasoned nicely and although it was a veggie breakfast it was surprisingly filling. What I liked most were all the punchy flavours. I went to Fress for the first time last week and I’m almost certain it will be one of my regular spots.
Federal: (9 Nicholas Croft, Northern Quarter, Manchester, M4 1EY)
What I ordered: Veggie breakfast bagel and French toast
The bagel is made up of fried free range eggs, fresh spinach, aioli, spiced tomato relish, halloumi and mushrooms. All of which are bursting with flavour and depth.
The French toast is definitely the showstopper with its delicious summer berry compote, almonds, moreish whipped vanilla mascarpone and yummy salted caramel.
I would say Federal is my Go-to brunch place not just because it is so close to my flat but because nearly everything I’ve ordered has been amazing.
Pot Kettle Black (14, Barton Arcade, Deansgate, Manchester M3 2BW)
I ordered: N’duja Eggs with smoked mozzarella, tomato, and pecorino cheese
I love that every time I visit this place there will always be bloggers taking pictures and editing videos / images and it makes me feel right at home haha. The eggs were really tasty but if I’m honest I would have liked there to have been nicer bread.
